grey day bebé: one year with the Honest Co. crib

Honest Crib 4-in-1 review [] grey day bebé: one year with the Honest Co. crib

Vera enjoying her nap at 8 months old —-crib sheet is Circo from Target

We were not up on all the crib options when we first started looking for a crib 1.5 years ago. After a lot of research we decided that the Honest 4-in-1 crib would be the safest option for Vera with non-toxic paint, etc. We paired it with this Naturepedic waterproof mattress (nontoxic, waterproof, and wipeable=win)

However, I ended up giving in to the co-sleeper trend and did use a co-sleeper for the first few months of her life; only to realize that after all my hard work and research the Arm’s Reach co-sleeper was full of flame retardants!

So we had her sleep in the bassinet of her Nuna Sena playpen for a couple of months until she was ready for her own room (hindsight: would have just started out with the Sena and never bought that horrible overpriced co-sleeper)

Luckily by that time she almost ready to sleep in her own room really enjoy her crib:

Honest Co. Crib Pros:

  • non-toxic
  • aesthetically pleasing
  • can convert to toddler bed
  • sustainable materials
  • Their “Buy One, Give One” program when we purchased, which has now become “You Buy We Give”, is where Honest Co. helps those in need with every crib purchase with their “Safe Place to Sleep” program

Honest Co. Crib Cons:

  • no coordinating non-toxic crib rail teething guard offered (I would buy one in a second!)
  • expensive  :/
